the five second delay at the academy awards
to prevent the possibility of individual "acheivers" engaging in "objectionable" free speech, ABC has announced that there will be a five second delay during next Sunday's academy awards presentations.
if i was a winner, i'd protest this totally unamerican nonsense by being silent for five seconds at the acceptance microphone.
then, after my five seconds of silence had elapsed, i'd look up from my watch and i'd say whatever the fuck i wanted to say, whether it be short and sweet, respectfully humble, funny, highly controversial, or completely mediocre.
i hope all the "winners" do something similar.
otherwise, they don't really deserve any awards.
except maybe for being ass-kissing cowards.
