the holes in my jeans are not a fashion statement.
...
the holes in my jeans are not a fashion statement.
not in the least bit.
but they are a result of my statements, i suppose.
like this one:
"i will never get a job."
that's i vow i took, circa 1991.
it was an entreprenuerial vow.
and i've stuck to it.
unfortunately, very few people see the honor in my keeping that vow.
but that's really none of my business.
although, ironically, other people not seeing any honor in my keeping that vow has adversely effected every single one of my business ventures.
but you know what i say?
fuck 'em.
anyway, the holes in my jeans are not a fashion statement.
nope.
the holes in my jeans ARE a statement, of sorts, i suppose.
but mostly, they're just holes in my jeans.
the natural wear and tear of day-to-day business.
...
is there a single word for someone who is the opposite of a hypocrite?
a noun, i mean.
if there is, i can't think of one.
therefore, logically speaking, does that mean that everyone is a hypocrite?
i suppose so. [1]
i certainly am in some ways.
but not all ways.
nope.
i try to be as non-hypocritical as i can.
it's not an easy task.
...
[1] no, actually, just because there's not a word for something has no logical bearing on whether something exists or not.
but in this case, the non-existence of an English word which means the opposite of the noun "hypocrite" is an interesting thing to ponder, if nothing else.
it suggests that such a thing is at least very rare, no?
